Or, if you prefer, how about some meat pie? The top one was homemade and the latter was from Shneider's.
On this day, Lucy bought some kind of no name brand lemon meringue pie to celebrate.
The condensation on top of the soft marshmallow-like meringue was because the egg whites were over beaten, says Lucy (which she learned from watching Ina Garten).
It wasn't a super sweet pie. In fact, the lemon curd was quite sour. Tasty!
